Bench Press

Well, The Beast, MkII is finally ready for it's first trial.

Sporting a new concrete filled roller and windy handle thing, it should finally have the strength to squash the life out of anything rolled through it. We'll show you the result of the first prints soon!

Perchance to Dream

I'm in the process of getting the first edition of 'Perchance to Dream' printed using Diasec.
Above is the print ready to be packaged up ready. I can't wait to see it completed!

Pressing Times

I've decided to have a go at building a small printing press (the type that does lino, not newspapers!). We always fancied learning some new art skills, but printing presses - even little ones are very expensive... and anyway, I like a challenge! I'll let you know how it goes as the bits arrive.

Gazebo Time!

I finally got my mega-file uploaded so it's in the hands of the printer now..... In the meantime, it's so nice outside, I've put up a mini gazebo to prepare for the obligatory barbecue's this weekend!

Printing woes

It's been a very frustrating day. It turns out that Photoshop will only print up to a certain file size without additional special software, so my plans have suddenly changed. I'm now uploading it to a specialist printer via the web. More frustration, as its a 900Mb file - it's going to take a very long time to send!

Another show over...

I've just finished the Islington Art and Design fair, and although it was quiet in terms of footfall, I met a whole lot of really nice new people, exhibitors and art-goers. I also sold my piece, 'Freedom', (See above), which is great as it's one of my favourite photos - a little challenging maybe, but powerful and full of energy. It is one of my more expensive pieces at the moment, but it reflects the amount of work that has gone into it; a combination of traditional photographic processes, hand toning, a lot of enlarger work and printing, with final scanning and digital reproduction.
