Art for Business

Last year, I mentioned exhibiting at the CASS Business School in Moorgate, London. Things slowed down a while while they collected additional artists and worked on creating a new website.

But now, everything is up and running and I'm arranging to have my work collected soon. I'm looking forward to seeing them all in position and will hopefully post up some pictures soon!

Tweaky Things

If you've been looking at the website recently, you'll have noticed some big changes! since the re-vamp, I've been tweaking and refining certain elements, most notably, adding better image previews. The next phase will be to add more framed preview images, to give you a better idea of how an image would look for real. Although not part of my my main site, the Nature collection is also still fully accessible via the Commercial/Art for Business section.

Special Effects

In all but my very earliest work, I've kept away from special effects, (such as the distortion on Clear Air Turbulence for example). I try to use only what can be done using classical photography. (Thankfully, dust removal is much easier digitally!). When you see images like the one above, you might think its full of effects, but apart from adjustments of brightness, contrast and saturation, this image (a polarised image shot of a clear plastic bottle top), is all real! Who needs special effects?!

Art for Business

If you've looked at my site before, you'll have noticed that I've mentioned art for business, but didn't have much to show for it!
Well, I've tried to address the balance by adding a new section with examples. The problem was then juggling the home page and links around, which was more work than I expected! Still, I think I've got there now, with new look Index and 'Select Gallery' pages. I'm sure there will be a few typos here and there, so let me know if you find any!
