The Weather Outback

We have lots of thirsty plants. We also have lots of water butts, but they're all empty. Surely it can't not rain forever (can it?). So, in anticipation I've bought another one to squeeze in on the right. When it decides to rain again, I'm determined to get as much of the stuff as possible!

Seasons of Mists...

Either the spiders are particularly busy this at this time of year, or the misty drizzle just makes them very visible. Either way, I always seem to walk into them in the garden!

Here Comes The Rain - Again!?

It's starting to become a bit of a joke. Weather forecaster: "Expect heavy outbursts of rain in all areas", and "The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning". What once used to mean 'expect to be rescued by boat in the morning', now actually translates to 'you'll still have to water the hanging basket when it's all over'. Hey ho.

Channel Hopping

Whilst rain temporarily stopped DIY play today, I had a cup of tea and flicked through all the hundred or so TV channels available. That proved even more depressing than the rain, so I got straight back to work again!
