A Grand Day Out
We spent a day yesterday being tourists in London. After jumping on lots of buses, seeing the sights and 'taking tea' at the V&A, we took a boat along the Thames to end the day at the O2 arena to see a band. The only downside was that the return boat was so slow getting back that we missed the last tube and had to catch an equally slow bus back to the train station. Luckily, after sprinting up the stairs, we just caught the last train home at 12.40 (by a margin of 20 seconds). Welcome to London - the city that never sleeps, apart for the transport system which gets ready for bed at midnight!
