The Height of Summer

Something weird is going on. The distant sound of lawn mowing is filtering through the window, birds are twittering (no, the real thing), and it's warm outside. Maybe I'll wake up in a minute...

Heat wave

August already. Did we all blink and miss July completely? Or just fall through a rift in the curtain of time? Either way, where's the bloomin' sunshine! The barbie's going rusty!

And the outlook is....

Sun and more sun! Woo Hoo! After a relaxing weekend and a very close lightning strike last night, the week looks like being a good one. If I could drag my computer into the garden and still see the screen, I'd be there now. Work and nice weather - a strange conflict!

Morning Light

Caught in this morning's early sunlight, these little droplets each has a subtly different colour as the light hits them at different angles. Very pretty! The starlight effect is created by the camera aperture and isn't a special effect!

Sunny Day

Not too much to report today! It's sunny out, we're having a new carpet fitted and I've still got lots of chores to do (sorry, home improvements), so today is a good day to get a few housy things done.

Pimms Day

Today has been a nice relaxing day off, pottering about, doing stuff for ourselves and drinking the odd Pimms or two. Just the footy and a bit of Glastonbury to watch before the end of a nice sunny weekend. I hope you've had a good weekend too!
