Meltdown

The first few weeks after the 'big freeze' has caused havoc with orders and deliveries. I'm still trying to process an order from the beginning of December which is driving me nuts, not to mention being very irritating for the client. So even though the snow's long gone, backlogs are still being cleared by my suppliers. Why is this country so bad at dealing with weather?! :-(

Global Warming

As someone commented on the news this morning: "Special thanks must be given to Gordon Brown - he's kept his promise and reversed global warming". Or, as us old folk say: 'It's just like I remember it".

Snow Crows

The snow on the trees seemed to delight the crows this morning. They were bouncing up and down on the branches, making the snow fall off, eating the snow and generally seeming to be having a great time!

What? No snowman?

Eagle eyed readers will have noticed that the snowy scene below contains no snowpeople, only a chiminea thinly disguised as one. With all good intentions, snow was rolled and rolled again, and was so powdery it just kept collapsing. Result - no snowy apparitions. Maybe we should work for the rail network... it was a case of the 'wrong type of snow'.

Last minute changes...

I'm hoping to showcase 'Splash', printed on acrylic at the Elixir Gallery this weekend instead of a smaller framed version I'd originally intended. This version looks far more dramatic, and it's a lot bigger, so will make a great centre piece for the show... Well, that's as long as snow doesn't stop play again!

What? No snow?

I've dragged myself out of the Christmas slumber and looking forward to my first show which is in humble old Potters Bar. I have a display of my Open Edition prints at the end of January, so I'm planning which images to display, frames to choose and the overall layout. The exhibition runs for a month, so it will be important to make it look good. I'll be showing a selection of smaller, affordable images, seen framed for the first time. I see these as a 'balance' to my more exclusive limited edition prints, so if you're in the area, please drop in and have a look! (from 1st Feb).
