Boundaries Exhibition

The Islington Art and Design fair is almost upon us, previewing this Thursday evening, with three full days following. My one-off exhibition prints are ready to go. I'll have eight images of which seven will be single edition prints especially produced for this show. My exhibition is entitled 'Boundaries', and is a follow on from my 'Different Light' series of images. But this time, the focus shifts from the literal to interpretive views of everyday life. Please come along! Admission is free, an all the details can be found on the Events page of my website.

New Prints for Islington

I've now had my images printed for Islington. Seven of these will be brand new single edition images, and one from my limited edition collection. These form part of my Different Light series, but they are very different indeed! - more experimental. They also feature quite a bit of processing and special effects, so they won't appear on my website. This will be a one-off opportunity to by a unique piece. Please come along and see for yourself!

Rainy day reading

It's another of those marvelous sunny days outside, so I've been working on putting together what started out as a brochure, but is rapidly turning into a coffee table book. Seeing the layouts and images against black pages is really dramatic, so I've decided to go for the 'full monty' by making it into something posher than a brochure. Above is one of the images from 'the book'.

A good Title

The name given to an image is never an afterthought. Getting the name right is vital and can even make or break the image! As I plan out my Islington exhibition, this is doubly important, as the images are mini social commentaries on some of the absurdities of everyday life. Watch this space for more as it develops.

Special Effects (pt II)

I mentioned earlier that I steer clear of special effects. Well, for completeness, here are all the images with computer added 'effects' in my collection. I haven't included image duplication, colour reversal or anything that couldn't easily have been done photographically. These are all from my early Different Light images.
