Mega Fennel

I decided to pull out one of our fennel bulbs today as we were having a BBQ. It didn't look like the fennel you get in the shops. For a start it was 3" long and the bulb was longer and thinner. But, after a bit of slicing, seasoning and grilling on the bbq, it became a delicious accompaniment to chicken and potatoes!
