Christmas brings with it lots of wonderful hazards... Endless cookery programmes have beckoned us all into the kitchen (nothing to do with celebrity chefs xmas book sales of course). And therein lies the hazard.
Not in the Samuri knives we now all use to peel spuds with. No, we're all too smart to get caught out by such obvious tricks. It's those innocent little gadgets hiding from the sun at the bottom of the drawer; ready for their moment of glory. And now, their time has finally come!
Peelers, graters, corers, dicers, parers, zesters, mandolines - they all laugh in the faces of those gleaming knives. The names give them away, and in in their own special way, will all conspire to thoroughly ruin our Christmas culinary aspirations. Which reminds me to add one last item to add to the shopping list - a large box of plasters...
