Flood alert

We woke up this morning to find our sofa covered in water from water dripping through the living room ceiling. Not a great start to the day. To cut a long and quite frankly boring story short, I found the offending pipe (with nail running through it) and did an emergency repair which probably wouldn't win any awards, but seems to have done the job. Following that, the boiler packed up, due to the lack of pressure from the incontinent pipe, plus another valve failure in the system, and my day was complete. I'm hoping for a more creative day tomorrow!
