I've often been asked what goes into my technical images, so here's a peek at one of the set-ups I've used quite a bit for my new 'Light Sculpture' photos. In amongst all the lights, cables, filters, clamps and other paraphernalia, you might just see a camera on a rig I designed and adapted myself. After a sequence of images has been captured - (a process which can take days before I'm really happy with it), I get down to processing. I avoid special effects in Photoshop. Its the lighting that's the key to my images, so I restrict myself to what I could do using only classical photography. Yes, it's easier in Photoshop, especially when it comes to removing my biggest enemy - dust, but the clean up, resizing and processing takes typically half a day per image. In my whacky world of photography, there's no such thing as a quick snap!
