You gotta roll with it

I know it's hard to get excited about conveyor belt rollers, but this is the core of the printing press! I'm now waiting on a large box of metal bits to make the frame. More to follow!

Pressing Times

I've decided to have a go at building a small printing press (the type that does lino, not newspapers!). We always fancied learning some new art skills, but printing presses - even little ones are very expensive... and anyway, I like a challenge! I'll let you know how it goes as the bits arrive.

Rubbish Day

5.30 this morning and the recyling bin emptied itself out into the street.... and to add insult to injury, after it had all been put back, the bin collectors didn't pick it up! :-(

Settling Dust

It's the big clear up after the show, as our house has been a little neglected during the run up!

Then it's time for a little rest before getting back to the routine...

Final Day!

It's the last day at the Windsor Contemporary Art Fair this Sunday, so come along if you can! The mini hurricane today didn't manage to dislodge the marquee, despite some anxious looks by exhibitors and visitors today! Sunday is looking to be a much better day...

Rain won't stop play

A dreary start to the day for setting up at Windsor, but hopefully, things will heat up later!

Countdown to Windsor

Time flies! Only 3 days to go before Windsor. Time to start getting all the little bits and pieces needed to put an exhibition together. A drill, screws, tape and a stepladder are some of the more vital bits of kit - best not forget the artwork!

Live Dangerously

We've just spent a couple of days chillin' in the Chilterns - a much needed mini break.

On one nice little walk we came across this sign and despite the dire warning, both the village and the walk were safe and very pleasant!

Sponge Cake

I'm not very good at baking, but today I'm going to try a sponge cake. What could possibly go wrong?
