All the fun of the fair!

This Sunday sees another one day event at Lauderdale House in Highgate, London, where I'll be showing some open edition framed photographs. It's a great setting for an art and crafts day for all the family, plus the wonderful Waterlow Park and the famous Highgate Cemetery on its doorstep. As if that wasn't enough, there's some fantastic pubs and eateries all within a stone's throw of Lauderdale. Come along if you get the chance! Shelf Life

One more shelf to fit, but an important one. The printer is going on it, and I need it reconnected to print out my pictures for the next exhibition at Lauderdale.

New Office

I spent a very hot day yesterday, fitting shelves and cupboards in the office. It's so nice to have proper storage space! Now, barring and few finishing touches, I can get back to work properly. I'll need to as I've got shows coming up and a lot of preparation to do...

The heat is on

No blogs for a while, as I've been decorating the studio/office. I finally got the desk back in and all the computer gear back in, so I'll be able to blog again! Meanwhile, there's still new furniture to put in, but it gets so hot here in the afternoon, it's hard to find the enthusiasm!

Open Edition Decisions

I have ten small (30x40cm) frames for open edition prints for my next show. The problem is choosing my favourites, as I have around 30 to chose from. Maybe I should do a poll?

Hidden Gem?

The wallpaper all came off ok in the main part of my office, but lurking in an alcove/cupboard, I found this colourful little number! Under the embossed paper, was a second pink painted paper, and under this, an explosion of flowers! The house is still giving up its secrets even after all these years...

Incommunicado

I've had to go offline for a few days while I got on with decorating the office. The end is now in sight so I've been able to plug the computer back in. Back to daily blogs, I hope!

Stripping in the Office

I finally managed to get the wallpaper off (and yes, lots of plaster too). There's dust everywhere, and despite filling in all the holes, it's amazing how much work there is to do for such a small space! Oh well, moaning won't help, so it's back to work...

Time to Paint

I'm having a long overdue office clearout. This is a little daunting as I have to keep the computer connected but safe while wall paper, carpets and furniture is stripped out, followed by new flooring and painting. And the reason for the picture above? This was one of my first prints to be displayed in acrylic and went up on our living room wall after it was decorated a couple of years ago. That too needs a revamp, so I'm going to be busy over the next couple of weeks!
