I've just collected some work from the Knapp Gallery, Regents Park, who kindly exhibited some of my work last year at a couple of exhibitions. Although these pieces didn't sell on the day, I had lots of positive comments and I'm looking forward to working with them again this summer! Thanks to Aileen and Mike Mitchell, for your help and support!

Web Weaver
I'm in the process of updating my website. This isn't an update, it's a totally new site! New features will include a new layout, and online cart to buy standard items directly. This is all going to take some time as it will need thorough testing, but I'll keep you updated as I go! Wish me luck!

Less Rembrandt...
Gallery Update
Today, I'm updating some of my web content and having a book keeping day. Boring, but worse if it's left!

Trials and Tribulations

We had out first serious go at the printer today... with mixed results. It will take a lot of experimenting to get everything right, but that's half the fun! I still have a few technical issues to sort out, but the main thing is the number of variables that affect the outcome. Not always obvious too! I'll post some pics of the first attempts soon, but in the meantime, here's one of the motor mechanism which needs some subtle tweaking to get it right!

A View Too Far
I've had to give up on my web image preview problem for a while! Images were opening ok in some browsers, but not (crucially) in Internet Explorer. I have no idea why and neither does anyone else! So to avoid having previews that don't work, I've disabled them for now :-(

The Italian Job

After a long and frustrating wait, I've finally received (and despatched) two pictures to a client in Italy. The snow caused havoc with the order so it was a relief to finally get the two pictures ''New Frontier' and Aspiration' to their new home! These have been printed on acrylic, and very smart they look too!

Circuit Training

I used to do a bit of electronics (as a geeky teenager, I hasten to add), but my old brain cells are starting to struggle with that kind of stuff. However, after many drawings I finally managed to work out how to drive the printing press so it only travels so far and then can only go in the reverse direction. So after following the above diagram, I soldered and joined lots of cables together... and it works! WooHoo!

Meltdown
The first few weeks after the 'big freeze' has caused havoc with orders and deliveries. I'm still trying to process an order from the beginning of December which is driving me nuts, not to mention being very irritating for the client. So even though the snow's long gone, backlogs are still being cleared by my suppliers. Why is this country so bad at dealing with weather?! :-(
